About the Museum

.The Fetter Museum of Art and Nanoscience presents exhibitions yielded by the collaboration between artists and researchers at the Bar Ilan Nanotechnology Institute
.The institute is home to collaborative research studies by researchers from the fields of biology, physics, chemistry, engineering, and computer sciences
As a part of the museum establishment process, the artists joined this interdisciplinary conversation, which was the starting point of journeys of discoveries toward distant realms that broaden knowledge and increase curiosity

The art on display between the research laboratories exposes the visitors to the lively research activities that are ongoing in the institute's dozens of laboratories and to the ongoing dialog between the researchers and the artists

The Fetter Museum of Art and Nanoscience was made possible by the generous donation of the Fetter family (USA),
in memory of Mr. Joseph Fetter.

?What Is Nano

Nano is a measurement unit that equals one billionth of a meter; it is what we get after dividing one meter into a billion tiny parts. In the field of nanotechnology, it is possible to design and manufacture particles and components of nanometric size, which can only be seen with special microscopes. At such small sizes, the qualities of matter completely change. Nanomaterials are structures that are scientifically fascinating; they open a hatch to the wandering land of
.the invisible. In science, the same as in art, delving into the research of matter and its essence leads us to new insights and new worlds
